From September 2014 the new national curriculum for England is to be taught in all maintained primary and secondary schools.

The curriculum contains the programmes of study and attainment targets for all subjects that is to be taught throughout primary school.

Please note that in the 2014 to 2015 academic year, pupils in years 2 and 6 should be taught the current programmes of study in English, Maths and Science. These pupils will sit the current key stage 1 and 2 tests respectively. New tests will be available from 2016.
